When setting up your Dots payout account, your bank account type must match the tax
profile selected during onboarding.
Examples:
• If you completed onboarding using your personal SSN/individual tax profile, you
must use a personal bank account
• If you completed onboarding using a business EIN/business tax profile, you must
use a business bank account
If the bank account type does not match the completed tax profile:
• You will not be able to successfully link the bank account
• The payout method may be rejected during setup
Because your tax form has already been completed and verified during onboarding, you
cannot switch between personal and business account types afterward. If you need to
change your tax profile type after onboarding, you must contact support for
assistance.
Before linking a bank account, please confirm:
• Your tax profile type is correct
• Your bank account ownership matches your tax profile
• Your legal/business name matches your tax records exactly
