FORMULATION FACT 01

We chose naturally derived phytic acid instead of ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA) salts designed to improve stability and enhance preservation of our products. Manufacturing EDTA and its salts involves reacting ethylenediamine, a harmful substance associated with reproductive toxicity Unfortunately, EDTA and its salts may contain trace amounts of this substance. EDTA and its salts are also persistent and can harm the environment.

We chose skin conditioning ingredients like sea water, skin protectants like Rhododendron Ferrugineum (Alpine Rose) Extract, and emulsifiers like xanthan gum and sclerotium gum instead of heavily ethoxylated ingredients like PEG/PPG-14/7 Dimethyl Ether and PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil that carry particular risk for carcinogenic contaminants, 1,4-dioxane and ethylene oxide. We take ingredient purity seriously.

      Part of my daily skin routine

      Mineral Boost Hydrating Essence has been part of my daily skin routine for a couple of years. My skin drinks it up. I use it right after cleansing and then use a serum or moisturizer and a face oil.

      Out of all the Counter products I use, this is my favorite. It's SO light. If I'm in a big hurry, it might be the only thing I have on my face when I leave home, and thats just fine. If I'm not in a hurry, it's always the first thing on my skin.
