Formulated without heavily ethoxylated ingredients such as Polysorbate 20 that carry particular risk for carcinogenic contaminants, ethylene oxide and 1,4-dioxane. We take ingredient purity seriously.

We use Cystoseira tamariscifolia extract for its antioxidant, skin conditioning, and age-defensive benefits instead of Macrocystis pyrifera (Kelp) extract or Undaria pinnatifida extract, which can sometimes contain higher levels of iodine. Some algae, particularly brown seaweeds, naturally accumulate iodine from seawater as part of their growth process. While iodine is an essential trace element for healthy thyroid function, excessive exposure—especially in sensitive individuals—can disrupt thyroid hormone balance. Indeed, the Environmental Working Group (EWG) Verified program enforces strict limits on iodine levels in products containing brown algae. We carefully review and monitor the iodine content of all algae-derived extracts used in our formulations.
