We don’t formulate with ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA) salts such as Disodium EDTA, Trisodium EDTA or Tetrasodium EDTA. Manufacturing EDTA and its salts involves reacting ethylenediamine, a harmful substance associated with reproductive toxicity. Unfortunately, EDTA and its salts may contain trace amounts of this substance. EDTA and its salts are also persistent and can harm the environment.

We use Cystoseira Tamariscifolia algae extract instead of Undaria pinnatifida, Laminaria saccharina extract, Ascophyllum nodosum extract, which often contains much higher levels of iodine. Some algae naturally accumulate iodine from seawater as part of their growth process. While iodine is an essential trace element for healthy thyroid function, excessive exposure—especially in sensitive individuals—can disrupt thyroid hormone balance. For this reason, we carefully review the iodine content of all algae-derived extracts used in our formulations, ensuring that levels remain within our limits and aligned with EWG Verified standards.
